One of my British friends came up to me one day, asking me (more like demanding :P) on the reason of my obsession to these Royalties: Princess Diana Frances Spencer and Marie Antoinette. My answer to that question is simple. I said 'What is not to be admired? They were both empowered woman, who defied their fate, endured every difficult situation with great strength, both a lady with class and a caring mother'. My friend just smiled and pretended that she was an oracle at that moment and said 'I see the future Sabrina. One day you'll become one of the world's most empowering woman who will fight for justice around the world and be the next Queen of Hearts just like Princess Diana'. Insyallah and amin to that! :)
Anyway, all of you must have been wondering why I brought up this topic on Princess Diana when I have not yet finished telling all of you the tales of Marie Antoinette. Well, yesterday there were some controversial issues on the news regarding the death of Princess Diana Frances Spencer due to the release of a documentary made by Keith Allen : Unlawful Killing.
'Unlawful Killing' is based on a note written in 1993, by Princess Diana, in which she expressed the thoughts that Prince Charles was plotting to have her assassinated. This film points to alleged inconsistencies in the court's handling of the case. It should be noted that conspiracy theories about Diana's death are not something new. Books have been written linking Diana's death to the royal family. It has been said that the royal family was angry over Charles and Diana divorcing and blamed Diana for it. Some even said that the royal family was furious that Diana took a lover though it should be highlighted that Charles have been unfaithful to his wife prior to her extra-marital relationships during their marriage,
Nevertheless, this documentary sadly will be banned in the UK. It was told that at least 80 changes were wanted to be made to the film. When censorship wants that many changes to a documentary, you know something is not right.
Regardless of any scandals or allegations, the biggest concern to me is the new death photos showing Diana's dying moments and the moments just after her death. This will be the first time such pictures will be shown to the world and according to the news, they are very graphic and horrible. Setting legal issues aside, this is without any doubt morally reprehensible. No documentary, however well meaning, should be allowed to use death photos to tout a cause, incite unrest and gain viewers. Do they not think of the emotional pain and suffering this will cause to William, Harry and loved ones of Diana?
I believe and I think most of us will agree that such photos are meant to be private and not shown around!
Yet, to be honest I really cannot wait to get hold of this documentary. It will definitely shed some light on those dark secrets. My mother and I have always believed that this was a planned accident. Evidences are right before our eyes. Anyone in an open mind would know that she was murdered.

May Diana rest in peace.
